Friday Night Lights

Oh my gosh, we attended the football game at Quinton on Sept. 11,2009. The famous field for hankies on the field. They do not announce a flag on the field, the yell out hankie on the field, sometimes its even fresh hankie thrown. The announcer explained how to shut up your wife, have her tonsils removed. Not sure how many hankies flew tonight, but I lost count and I am pretty good with numbers. The game was exciting, Gore and Quinton were tied up 7-7 with 1 min to go and we were on the 5 yard line getting ready to score. Fresh hankie flies and Gore backs up 5 more yards. They run one more play and don't score, no timeouts. The punting team runs on the field and hikes the ball with 2 seconds left and the ball goes directly through the goal post. Gore wins 10 to 7 and the clock runs out. Exciting game. Congratulations to my boys. Everyone played really good. Team work was what it took to win and you showed us how a team working together could overcome. One of the most exciting games I have ever attended. And I got to sit and talk to Stan the Man, my next door neighbor from childhood.
